Purpose and scope
This Product Disclaimer explains the nature, materials, appearance, use and care of jewellery sold by Yamuna Jewels through yamunajewels.com. It should be read with the description, specifications, price and images shown on the relevant product page and with our Terms and Conditions, Cancellation Returns Exchanges and Refunds Policy, Shipping and Delivery Policy, and Warranty and Jewellery Care Policy.
We aim to describe each product accurately so that customers can make an informed decision before ordering. This disclaimer explains ordinary variations and care limitations; it does not permit a materially inaccurate product listing and does not remove any right or remedy available under applicable consumer law.
Product category
Yamuna Jewels primarily sells premium imitation and fashion jewellery. Unless a product page expressly states otherwise, our jewellery is not solid gold, sterling silver, platinum, natural diamond jewellery, or investment-grade precious jewellery.
Terms such as diamond look, diamond style, near-real look, luxury look or similar styling descriptions refer only to appearance. They are not a representation that the product contains natural diamonds or another precious gemstone.
Materials stones and finish
Our core cubic zirconia necklace sets generally use a brass base, a rhodium-colour or silver-tone plated finish, and cubic zirconia stones. Cubic zirconia, abbreviated as CZ, is a manufactured diamond simulant. It is not a natural diamond, laboratory-grown diamond, zircon gemstone or moissanite.
The exact materials, stones, plating colour and included components for an individual item are those stated on its product page or order confirmation. A product will not be treated as gold, silver, diamond, gemstone-certified, nickel-free, hypoallergenic, waterproof or anti-tarnish unless that claim is expressly made for the specific item and can be supported.
Any hallmark, purity, certification, country-of-origin or importer information that applies to a specific product will be disclosed on the product page, packaging, invoice or accompanying documentation as required. Customers should contact us before ordering if a required material or origin detail is unclear.
Product descriptions and included items
Each product page should be read as a whole. The written description identifies what is included, such as a necklace, earrings, chain, fastening, accessories or other components. Display props, clothing, models, boxes and styling accessories shown in an image are not included unless the listing expressly says they are included.
Measurements and weights are approximate unless expressly stated as exact. Measurements may exclude an adjustable chain or fastening when the product page says so. Minor dimensional differences may occur because of manual measurement and normal manufacturing tolerances.
Availability is subject to stock and order confirmation. If a material specification or included component on the product page conflicts with the order confirmation, contact us promptly before dispatch so that we can verify the order. We will not silently substitute a materially different product.
Images colour and appearance
We use product photographs, close-ups and styling images to present the design. Screen calibration, lighting, camera exposure, background, reflection and viewing conditions can cause a limited difference in colour, brightness, stone sparkle or apparent metal tone. Enlargement in close-up images can also make stones and details appear larger than their actual size.
Some lifestyle or on-model images may be digitally composed, retouched or generated to demonstrate styling and approximate scale. Such images are illustrative and must not change the product design, stone type, metal colour, included items or other material characteristics stated in the listing. Customers should use the product-only images, measurements and written specifications to assess the item itself.
Ordinary display variation does not excuse a material difference from the advertised product. If the item delivered is materially different in design, colour, stones, components or specifications, contact us under our return and grievance policies.
Hand finishing and manufacturing variation
Jewellery may be assembled, set, polished or finished by hand. Small non-material variations in stone alignment, polish, texture, fastening tension or dimensions can occur between production batches. These variations should not materially alter the advertised design, usability or quality.
A defect, missing part, loose stone, broken fitting, materially uneven finish or other issue that affects normal use is not automatically treated as an acceptable handmade variation. Report such an issue promptly with the order number and available photographs or video so that it can be assessed.
Plating wear and jewellery care
Plated fashion jewellery changes with use. The life of the finish depends on frequency of wear, skin chemistry, climate, storage and exposure to moisture, sweat, perfume, cosmetics, chemicals, friction and heat. Gradual fading, dullness or plating wear can therefore occur and is not the same as the permanence of solid precious metal.
Apply perfume, hairspray, lotion and cosmetics before wearing the jewellery and allow them to dry. Avoid direct exposure to water, sweat, chlorine, household chemicals and abrasive surfaces. After use, wipe the item gently with a clean, soft and dry cloth. Store it separately in a dry polythene pouch or airtight pouch rather than in a velvet box that may retain moisture.
Do not use toothpaste, harsh metal polish, ultrasonic cleaning, abrasive cloths or unapproved chemicals. Care instructions are intended to prolong the finish but do not guarantee that plating will remain unchanged indefinitely.
Skin sensitivity and safe use
Individual skin sensitivity varies. A product is not represented as hypoallergenic or suitable for every wearer unless the specific listing expressly states that claim. Stop wearing the item if irritation, redness or discomfort occurs and seek appropriate medical advice if symptoms persist.
Jewellery may contain small parts, pointed components, clasps or chains. Keep it away from infants and young children and do not use it as a toy. Remove jewellery before sleeping, bathing, swimming, exercise or any activity where it may catch, bend or cause injury.
Customised products and preorders
A customised or preorder item is made, altered or procured according to the specifications accepted in the order confirmation. Review names, measurements, colours, design references and other approved specifications before confirming the order. Production and dispatch estimates are communicated separately and may depend on the agreed work and availability.
Customised products and preorders are not returnable merely because of a change of mind after delivery. This does not remove remedies where an item is damaged, defective, incorrect, missing, materially different from the agreed specification or otherwise protected by applicable law.
Warranty returns and customer remedies
Our 12-month Warranty and Jewellery Care Policy applies from delivery and is subject to its stated scope, exclusions and care conditions. Warranty coverage is separate from the voluntary three-day return offer and from mandatory consumer rights.
Normal wear, accidental damage, improper storage, unauthorised repair, or damage caused by water, perfume, chemicals, impact or misuse may fall outside voluntary warranty coverage. Minor repairs and small adjustments have no service fee; major repairs or substantial customisation may carry an agreed nominal fee. Courier arrangements are governed by the applicable policy.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability or a remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a product is damaged, defective, spurious, incorrect, missing, misdescribed or materially inconsistent with the listing or agreed order, contact us under the Cancellation Returns Exchanges and Refunds Policy and the Grievance Redressal Policy.

We may update this disclaimer when our products, presentation methods or applicable requirements change. A revised version will be posted with a new effective date. The product description and terms communicated when an order was accepted continue to govern that order unless a change is required by law or agreed with the customer.
